hands down christopher shannon's show was probably one of my very favourites this whole week. not just for the street scouted stallions and scallie boys but the collection was quite raf simons-y in a good way - yet slightly a bigger nod towards sportswear.
should always trust the men's wear - the perfect ending for LFW.

acne show = no love lost. there you go. got it out of my system. the only thing i liked this far was pre-fall 12 and even from that just a few details. like those chunky chains. yeah, exactly, hardware chains. not really a mindblower. should've known best things don't stay good forever but now that they already sell acne in london double the price from scandinavian prices and keep on producing those plain commercial black leather boots - i guess the road had to come to it's end. i'll just go reminiscing those days i was picked on at school for my slim powdery acne action jeans (even the name had more to it) just for that white tag that said acne on it. picked on by people with teenage acne. the irony.

bless equals massive love, even more than sparkling water and croissants and that sure is a huge amount of affection there. it sincerely receives my greatest admiration when it comes to branding in any area which, i think, is mostly due to the lack of trends it is involved with. i would say it's more about the aesthetics and the creative concept of the label which easily bump around the areas of fashion, interiors and objects. they manage collection after collection to put something fresh on the table. i wouldn't go as far, deep and dangerous as the conversation of relating fashion to art but you probably catch my drift though. besides, bless has been working with mark borthwick, one of them photography gods on earth.

talking of winter clothing, i've been hunting for a leather puffa for a while. the best of both sides, leather and puffa coats, don't you agree ?

i came to conclusion that even lame mondays have their silver lining. stuck in the morning rush hour i shopped online (jeez louise thanks for 3G) myself a pair of junya watanabe / cdg trousers. not bad at all. eventually the day led to emptying a bag of sour jelly sweets and consequently a killer sugar coma, but still. not bad at all.

last week i received an invitation to vauxhall to see some younger talents as part of the london fashion week.
somehow i've always found fresh graduates way more intriguing as they clearly still have that reckless, somewhat even excessive splattered-around creativity that's often missing from ready-to-wear. to boost up my joy i got a chance to chat the designers themselves to hear what where the stories behind the collections. imagine a kindergarten group explaining their daydreams and you get somewhat close ....

i'm trippin over my latest trippen purchase making it's way to my postbox. it's not like a few days of hard(-ish) work wouldn't make us deserve veggie dyed leather treats. but i've honestly skipped the lure of the web sales. the sales, the leftovers, who wants them anyways.

i find it somewhat contradictional that now that i'm working in a store carrying about 100 models of jeans, i've wound up wearing the worst fitting black vintage levi's 501' cutoffs - great three sizes up from mine - and i even hang them low like having the worst teenage rebellion phase. not exactly convincing to be praising over finding the best fitting pair of denim. but i'm still young so who the heck cares.

the yohji exhibition in v&a museum, highly recommended.
divine lookbooks co-operated with paolo roversi, moving image from way back and mammoth size collection of his pieces in real life. apologies security guys but couldn't resist grabbing a hem or an impeccably sewn seam every here and there.

to make the platinum shinier got these velvet docs under the desk so to say. no more having to hide my all-seen docs under the table.

life is so underrated. wearing my oily-lensed black rimmed round sunglasses and black leather parka, rhyming to illegally young rappers. and naming photoseries after alternative hiphop lyrics ...
woopie, there's no way but winning from now on.

drinking some spiked cherry stuff from a thermomug on photohistory lesson (its 8:06pm on friday, c'mon) and going to dress as a dealer (not art one) for tonight. nothing to do with anything previously mentioned decided to share a glorious photobooth capture from last week.

got a bottle of blue spray (disco queen fight the way) for a photoshoot to colour the models hair, but somehow the colour spread to my locks as well ..

this also works as a promising proof of my talent and hours spent on indesign and photoshop.

ps. the picture below: imma become that crazy cat lady. that crazy cat lady with pastel coloured cats.

dreamt last night that my metal heels click-ety-click-click-transported me to italy to the sceneries of "io sono l'amore" ... the jil sander / raf simons wardrobe was just the right top coat of polishing gloss in the flick.
like expecting a crack baby, waiting for 2 rolls of discontinued kodachrome film that had to be sent to the US to get developed.

.. meanwhile in finland, menopause-ridden ladies at kindergardens tend to sport birkenstocks or similar orthopedical sandals paired with socks. according to some slightly more representative finns (like heikki salonen), suchlike seems to be the next phenomenon after THIS AMAZING SUPER UNEARTHLY AWESOME SONG. besides, they are like sunglasses for my darkroom-sore eyes (not to mention the indoor shoe-rule we got going on in our school).

the spice girls wedges are so 90s that i wear them even indoors. and when i'm blogging. or cooking. or dancing to such music as i linked. my muscle memory just got reminded of ankle sprains from my childhood.

now a number older, karaoke + liquids, just to celebrate being a one year closer to retiring. also got a (miniature) white harley-davidson.

all art school-esque: tossling with cameras and eating vegan food. some might call it artsy freedom, for me it's an endless summer camp. there's a pond nearby, which resembles versailles, a finnish-swedish marie antoinette in a town where i haven't even spotted a single traffic light yet. rehab is however maybe not the title for description.

been reading a book about gang girls. 'ts OG, especially now that i've moved out of the town ghetto.

above a trifted levi's shirt with safety pins that i did NOT wear to flow festival. even my violent fringe leather jacket was safer, got some air to breathe by jumping around.

spotted such an illegal number of maxi dresses during the weekend that i'm having a jetlag like as if i had been to arabia or something ..

needless to say, was some illest and sweatiest revelling at major lazer, diplo, M.I.A., hannulelauri and so backandforth. then eyes shut swaying at radio dept (okay slightly jaded from the night before), beach house, junip, the xx and more.

parking lot after party and staying up till sunrise naturally, then some blanks from the events of friday and well ..
in a neat package that was the flow 2010.

ps. will hopefully have the evidence of the blanks once i get dispo-camera film done ..

already gotten that babyshower for my babies - couple of times to be exact --
berry balsamico with strawberries, sheer one size black socks with docs (those that i used to hate as worn by my mom), tight ponytails that make u look like a cheerleader. big up. over and above, pink eyeshadow. got that primary school thing going on.

currently scaring customers away by blasting rap .... and blogging, damn i'm the best sales assistant ever.
